November – A Theological Cornucopia

Well, the month of Novemeber has shaped up to be a month of gourds, fruits and flowers of all different varieties for this horn-shaped basketeer™. Last week I was priveleged to meet and listen to Doug Wilson speak a couple of times at the finest classical Christian school ever. This week I have taught through most of the book of Leviticus, preached at a largely African American church, done a devotional during the morning meeting at the school. Tomorrow I’m leading a group of men in our church in a discussion on election and regeneration, and Sunday I’m preaching on Saul’s persecution of Christians.

In the midst of all of that I’m thinking through the nature and extent of the atonement (still), working through sacrament/ordinance issues, and contemplating what unity in the church should look like.

Maybe insomnia is for my good after all.
