Roe v Wade @ 35

Today marks the 35th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that blazed the trail for the unimaginable holocaust that has been legalized abortion in the United States. In Escambia County, Florida there were 4,237 live births in 2006. In that same year, in that same county, there were 2,608 “pregnancy terminations.”

This means that in Escambia County, Florida the odds of a baby dying before it leaves the womb are greater than one in three. Be appalled. Please.

  1. How many times have we heard churchgoers proudly say something like, “I’m so thankful that we live in such a great land where we have freedom to …. ” Sadly however, our neighbors have been given freedom, the freedom to sin.
Yes, we live in a country where there is freedom to kill the life in the womb.
In an earlier post Al said that here in the land of the free, “We kill over 20% of our children before they draw a breath.” What a great shame that is.

Harming the innocent life in the womb is an Abomination to the Lord.

Thus says the Lord, “For three transgressions of the sons of Ammon and for four I will not revoke its punishment, Because they ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead . . .” Amos 1:13

  2. I’m not trying to hijack your post or blog; but I’m curious what your take/opinion of this is:

We as a culture have no fear of the Lord, no reverance. Our arrgoance and pride blind us, most churches preach the gospel of wealth and gain. How can we understand ‘..Abomination to the Lord.’ if we don’t have a bibilical understanding of Him?

BTW – I have said just such a thing, on several occasions – thank you for the rubuke and reminder that ‘freedom’ in our cultural sense is complete opposition to the Lord and His precepts, that we must be in line with these first and foremost.
